A Wonderful Place in the World--FTTA, H.T.

An overcomer (Revelation 3:12) is not someone who is a spiritual saint or has particular gifts, but a normal, living, and functioning Christian who loves Christ and the church. This is what I want to be and the reason why I desired to go to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) after having been cared for by six FTTA trainees during my four years at the University of California, Irvine.

These FTTA trainees played a crucial role in my pursuing the Lord because they gave me a pattern of genuine workers of the Lord and what it means to be consecrated. I was contacted by FTTA trainees on campus in my first week of my freshman year in college. I was drawn by the shining truth and pure atmosphere I sensed whenever I met with them. The trainees encouraged me to pursue the Lord. They cared about me much and helped me to go on with the Lord steadfastly by calling me early every morning for a time in the Word, fellowshipping concerning practical issues of my life, studying the Bible with me, and visiting my family. Because of their cherishing and shepherding, I was able to grow stronger in the Lord and had a desire to give myself to Christ and the church. As I participated in serving in the college meeting, I realized how inadequate my character was and how shallow my experience and realization concerning the Truth was. Merely being involved in most of the meetings was not enough if I really wanted to serve the Lord for the rest of my life. Therefore I consecrated myself to go to the FTTA to be perfected so that I could be a normal functioning member of the Body of Christ.

My time in the FTTA had been the best period of time in my life so far. I love just focusing on enjoying and pursuing the Lord. I feel like I am being watered by fresh rain constantly, without a day in vain. I am experiencing the steadfast growth in life day by day. For me no other place is as wonderful as the FTTA. Since this training is designed to perfect us concerning truth, life, service and gospel preaching, we have ten different classes every week. Unlike classes in college, these classes are very eye-opening, enjoyable, and rich in life. Moreover, I appreciate the trainers in all my classes very much because they pour out their heart on us by caring for each trainee with specific prayers and willingly spending time to answer our questions. Under the care and training in the FTTA, I feel like a small ship touring the wonders of Niagara Falls. Many portions of the Scripture have started to become revelation to me and not merely Bible knowledge.

I very much appreciate the FTTA, which provides me an excellent nursery for the development of my spiritual walk in the Lord and building up in the Body of Christ.
